Ignition switch replacement

I've tracked my intermittent starting issue down the a worn out ignition switch, I got a replacement from the auto parts store and everything was the same except it was made for a different lock cylinder. Mine looks like this inside

My XJ is a 1996 country model, it has the late style transfer case. I wasn't sure if they just don't make this style and I have to buy a new lock cylinder to fit this style? Thanks for any insight.

After much time searching online, apparently the ignition switch from my xj is a ignition switch out of a grand cherokee 1997 seems to be a match. I will get one for a 97 GC and check fitment.
