I have searched with no luck. I have a 91 MJ with a Hesco 4.6L stroker, OBD1 system. I recently installed a new bored 62mm throttle body and it runs well. The new throttle body has the vacuum port and mounting holes for the MAP sensor on the left side, but I capped the port off and am using the original MAP on the firewall.
I would like to get rid of the long vacuum line from the firewall MAP to the intake manifold and use a 96 and up MAP sensor mounted on the new throttle body. My question is since 96 is the first year for the OBD2 system, will the OBD2 MAP work on my existing OBD1 system? Are there any differences in the voltage outputs to the ECU between the two MAP sensors? Thanks all.
