2000 XJ sport, 4.0, 4WD, AT, 242 xfer case. 228,000 miles
The jeep starts and runs fine execpt:
1-The first start in the morning on a rainy or very humid day after sitting overnight, normal on other days. This happens regardless of temperature.
2- If I drive it through a deep water puddle.
It will sputter and miss for a couple of minutes and then clear up and be fine.
It some times throws random cyl misfire codes or vacuum leak codes / not always.
Compression is good 170 - 175 all cyls / plugs are new / removed plugs looked great/ cyl head is not cracked / injectors are fine.
I am thinking coil rail, but it looks good and is not cracked. All electrical connections have been treated wit dielectric grease.
Any suggestions or a good source for a coil rail.
