Oil Pump Pickup impacting the pan

Replaced the RMS and oil pump. Went to install the pan and the pick up is impacting the pan. Took it out to make sure and it the pan goes in fine. Its from advanced auto parts and the oil pump is from Milling. Pickup was sold separate. Do I need to go get OEM I'm a good 1/4 inch off or can someone post up some part #'s that work. I have a 98 xj limited if that matters.

Did you order a High Volume Oil Pump? I had to clearance my oil pan to install one of those.

not sure going to check the part #. I read its not that bad to do it just not crazy about beating by pan with a BFH.

I was not crazy about the idea either. I used a small ball peen hammer and set the pan on a wood 2x4 to stretch the metal. Lucky for me, the engine was on a stand. I had time to test fit parts.

I'll see if I can find a picture of the area I had to clearance.
