Front leaf hanger relocation?

So my front leaf hanger is starting to push up through the floor on the drivers side , outboard of the frame. Passenger side isn't far behind. Hasn't completely popped through but its definetly audible. Any way to mount the hanger lower on the frame, clear of the body? Or would I have to cut out the rust, reinforce what I removed, and fab a new hanger?

I can put my finger through directly behind the hanger.

Ok, the synergy kits are a bit pricey since I have to go buy some plate too,
So I think I'm gonna get some universal hangers and weld them either directly to the plate or to some 1x steel box welded to frame/plate to lower it. Just to clarify the XJ leaf spring is 2.5" wide correct? So 2.5" universal hangers should work?

Bought the 1/4 plate today, a lot more pricey then I thought.
Gonna cut out the floor and try to re-use the original hangers which are themselves in good shape. Have plenty of plate for reinforcement of the hangers , I got a 2x4 foot sheet.
