Triple Electric fan sensor install

I am nearing the install on my 98 so now the questions begin. I have the Dirtbound triple fan shroud, 3 Perma Cool fans and a Ron Francis wiring harness. The wiring kit comes with the sensor and says it has 3/8 pipe thread and suggests installing in the head. Is there another option to install this? A tee in a heater hose or in the thermo housing, radiator hose? Any advise would be great thanks!

You can run a tee in the upper heater hose. I have the controller dirtbound sells. Find/build one that fits.

I installed the temp sensor in the upper radiator hose. Summit Racing sells an aluminum unit that cuts the hose in two, and adds the provision for a 3/8" pipe thread fitting. The sensor screws in, and is directly in the water flow.
