My stock starter recommendation

I have a stock 96 XJ 4.0 with about 192,XXX on it. I wanted to post a good experience with a part, hopefully someone will benefit from it in the future. I know you can spend hundreds of dollars on starters, hi-torque etc but this is just a basic starter. I purchased it from Checker in August of '06 and it lasted until December of '12, six years+ out of a "stock" starter in Arizona. I paid $62.99 + core in '06 and the part had a lifetime warranty so when it finally crapped out another one was my favorite price - free. The starter is an Ultima #17006. Im not affiliated with ultima or checker in any way, just hoping to help someone out who comes across this post.

On the other hand, if your water pump goes out, pony up the extra $ and get one from Jeep...ask how I know.

The oem jeep pump is not oem, its a value brand pump, at least that's what my dealer told me... just FYI.
