Does it matter where my backing plate bolts to my axle?
When you put ZJ discs on an 8.25 you just enlarge the backing plate but the bolt pattern is the same so you know where/which way the backing plate sits.
On a D44 the bolt pattern is different so you need to weld it closed and redrill it. I'm just wondering if my new bolt pattern has to put the caliper in the same spot as the ZJ bolt pattern.
Does that even make sense?
