Hose identification problem

96 XJ 4.0L

The hose coming out of the upper (smaller) outlet of my thermostat housing needs to be replaced. For some reason, auto shops can't identify or replace it for me. It's not the hose that goes to the radiator, it's the smaller, longer one that runs from the thermostat housing to (I think) the heating core. Anyone know what hose that is and where I can get a quick replacement? Nothing I find online looks quite right.

Take your old one in with you and match the diameter and length. Its the heater valve to thermostat hose. Most places cut them right there, not usually pre cut.

He nailed it. Gotta know the diameter and legnth, ask for heater hose and they have it coiled up in a box to cut.
