IAC cleaning... (quick Q)

so... fairly strait forward...

but the couple "how to"s i read didnt say anything about taking the shaft out. i (accidentally) found out that it unscrews. this makes it great for cleaning, but im wondering if there is any importance in properly setting the depth on the main shaft... thing...

if so, how do you do so?

Since the IAC has the ability to move in and out to adjust the engine idle; the PCM will signal it to adjust slightly to increase or decrease the idle RPMs. I would screw the shaft in until it stops and the PCM should do the rest.
