Does anyone know if the 2003-2006 rubicon tj Dana 44 gearset will swap into a 87 xj 44? Standard cut, 4:10 ratio. The only thing that I see that would need to be addressed is the tj ring gear bolts are 7/16 and the xj are 3/8.

The TJ gears are for a 3.73 and numericaly smaller carrier.Thick cut. So they will fit your 3.55 carrier. Just open the holes in your carrier with the correct bit for the larger bolts.

D44 gears are D44 gears. So the R&P will work in any LP D44
Do you have the carrier from the TJ? Should work as well. Otherwise you will need to purchase one.

Had purchased a Yukon powr-lok in 3:73 and higher. Had the jeep torn down before I realized my error. At least I picked up the gears cheap enough, nice set. Dead in the water until Monday.
