Hi all...just picked up a 99 sport 4.0, AW4
When Im driving around 50-60 mph i get a "dead" spot occasionally. I lose forward momentum, the engine does not rev up like the transmission is slipping it just seems to lose forward momentum and then bangs hard back into gear and takes off fine again, then it will die again and then bang and pick up. its almost like the trans goes into neutral and back to drive several times really fast, but the engine never revs up as would be the case if the trans was slipping. Any thoughts? I am a little stumped. I have not checked much so far just wanted to hear some thoughts or opinions.
