hello~

i have a 1989 cherokee limited 2 door, renix 4.0/aw4/242~ since i live in northern minnesota, i have no need for ac, i am planning on removing it to relocate the alternator up top. i am curious though if i could convert the ac radiator into a tranny cooler? any input would be welcome please! i also am in need or replacing the tranny cooling lines soon, so i'd like to see if i can or should do this...

Unless you can truly tell yourself that you did everything you could to clean the inside of the condenser and believe that are no stray oils or particles from the compressor or receiver drier, I wouldn't run my trans oil through it for nothing.

Delete it, and run a good trans cooler.
Should see much improvedd cooling
This, and the AC condenser is too big for use as a trans cooler. An aftermarket cooler and condenser removed will make for great cooling.
