Drilling out 1 ton tappered end. what size?

So Im getting ready to drill out my chevy flat top knuckles on my D44 to run heims. I was just wondering what others have drilled theres out to? Im thinking 3/4th" because 7/8" seams like it takes alot off the knuckles and not sure if thats ok to do or not. Just want some imput on what others have done.


Also my high steer arms I got from crane are drilled to 5/8" Is it ok to drill those out as well? I dont want to run that small of a heim. I would like to drilled them out to 3/4" Is that ok to do as well?

You can run a 5/8" bolt in a 7/8" heim...
