I have been wanting a roof rack for a while and couldn't find one I liked so I started taking pictures every time I saw a custom one I liked and decided to build my own. Like it or hate it tell me what you think.

It is 90wall 1inch tube. It is almost to heavy to lift by myself. Not sure on the actual weight. It is longer than most I have seen but I wanted as much usable space as I could get.
 
I think that due to it's length I might have added two more mounts (one on ea. side) to support the middle a bit...

Other than that minor input....... :thumbup::thumbup:

Now that it is on. I am thinking the same about two extra mounts. It seems to have a bow in it. I should have tacked it in a few more places before I got it really hot.

X2 on the extra mounts in the middle, when I had mine on I only had 4 mounts and after time my rain gutter started to rip away from the body due to it being a heavy sumb'itch.
 
Outstanding job, looks very good. I like it the whole length of the roof, but would definitely add two more gutter mounts per side. Would you consider building another?
 
I think I have 2 of those same tabs NIB if you don't wanna order online/save some $ + I'm local :)
 
Sure I need the practice. Some of my welds weren't that pretty I haven't been building much the last few years. Only thing is time. That one took me a few weeks due to work and kids.
