Leaking dana 30

I recently installed a lock right in my Dana 30 and had to pull the axles and carrier. I just noticed that it is leaking from the axle tube. Did I mess up the axle seal? Any quick fixes that don't require me pulling the whole thing apart before the easter safari?

Probably. You have to carefully guide the axle shaft into the seal to prevent dislodging it. The only fix is to fix it.

If I were to wait a few weeks would I be safe? Just check the fluid before Moab?

If it's not leaking too fast you should be fine. Mine has been leaking a few months. I took a long road trip on it and just checked it daily, it only needed a couple oz's added about every 800 miles.
