The fuel line is a hard line, and quick connects into about a 12" soft line straight to the fuel pump. What have you guys done to lengthen one or the other? I know some of the older ones had a soft line so that situation is a little different than my case. Idk, but thanks for your help.

Cut the metal line and extend it with rubber hose approved for use with fuel injection systems. Double hose clamp both ends, or flare the metal tube ends.

compression fittings and an additional hard line will work as well. Cut the hard line where it's convenient to work on it and mount the tank where it needs to go. Then, you just need to bend some line to join the two halves. Get the existing hard line as clean as possible and remove any ridge from cutting it. Button it up with a couple compression fittings and call it permanent.
