Well, you need it to run the engine unless you want to go carb.

alright good point, sorry. Looking to build a solid bottom end, maybe .10 over. Put a stage 2 505 performance on the top end. Will a stock ECU except these changes with out reprogramming or modifications?

If you think the cam shaft goes on the top end stay with EFI.

just terminology. Some people use ECU, ECM, PCM etc interchangeably. He could mean any year.
LOL.. yeah a camshaft. Its stage 2 so it could be anything. It must have been too hard to give duration/lift numbers in the name. Maybe its like a 1/8 race cam and the stage 3 may be a 3/4 race cam. stages.. lol

No need to worry about the ECU burning up, if that's what you mean... they're fairly durable.
