Simple tranny / Tcase question

I have a 94 XJ with the auto tranny and 231 t-case. What tranny should I have and what is the spline count for my T-case? I am looking to do a SYE and I have found several 231's with the SYE already done, but I dont know the spline count. Will a TJ / YJ 231 fit / work? Thanks.

should be an AW4 auto and 23 spline-- assuming everything's original.
I think the TJ/YJ 231's are clocked differently, but I'm sure with a bit of work they could be used.

yj/tj t-cases themselves are not clocked differently, the clocking is done by the mounting holes on the back of the transmission. the issues is more about the input lengths. t-cases from a manual will be the same but the auto tj cases have a longer input the auto xj cases. Im not sure about the auto yj cases, those might work.
