built-in pivoting hatch lights?

I'd like to get some more light around the rear hatch when it's open. Was hoping maybe someone here has done a DIY project maybe? In my mind I'd want inset/flush mounted long lights, two of them, that I can pivot a bit and shine light on the ground and really just light up the area when the hatch is open. Anyone done anything like this?

I searched for" led light strip in hatch". Didn't find a thing. In fact, I've found that the search function on this site (as well as many others) is damn close to useless.

I would search in Mod Tech. A couple of minutes searching showed up "rear hatch lights" that, I believe, is also listed in the bottom of this thread.

ehall put some nifty lights in his hatch - I forget where his build thread was, let me see if I can find it.

edit: here are some posts from various threads about what he did for lights.
