there is a thread like this every year so lets here it, what do you want to get done to your rig before winter fest?

i have front and rear axles to put in. and have to mount my highlift. dats bout it.
 
Diff fluid change, tie rod end on pitnem (however you spell it) change, and less important is to see if I can get my CEL turned off (right now thinking cam position sensor, hopefully can get a used one test it to start).
 
Jeep:
Mount Hi Lift.

weld in mid stiffeners and 2x6 rocker replacements with tie ins that have been collecting rust in my garage since last WF.

Install CB, fire extinguisher and new battery tray.

Tow Pig:

Change ball joints, build partition so I can shut Walt up on the way down if I want.
 
Jeep:
Frt & Rr Diff Fluid Changes
Install New Frt Axles Seals
Install Frt SOLID Diff Cover
Tcase Fluid Change
Tcase Planetary and Chain swap from Chevy 231
Install TnT 8.8 Truss
Bed-line Rear Wheel Wells
Find Spare Parts (Axle shafts, Frt Drive shaft, etc)

Tow Rig:
Oil Change
Find P.S. Leak & Fix

Trailer:
Find Trailer & Secure Use for trip
 
This year I'm getting my list done! My process started last weekend.


Purchased Items:

Leaf springs - ordered

Ball joints - ordered

Extended bumpstops - ordered

Tranny line adapters to go to hose - ordered

Wrangler front brake lines - ordered

Dakota rear brake line - ordered

HD front coils - ordered

Shock extensions - ordered(don't prefer this, but budget at the moment)

Track bar - ordered - arrived -

Shackle boxes - meet with flex

Lower control arms - need to pick up

Rustys crossmember - needs picked up

Winch - pennies away and should get soon

New MT tires - tax return pending -


Labor Items:

Fix hatch mechanism - complete

Paint armor - complete

Move hella's - complete

Trim 8.25 extra material -

Fix headliner -


Long shots:
Hurculine floors
Front locker
Front diff cover
Second crossmember and flat bottom
Raise shock mounts in rear

Big 'amount of money to wheel twice a year' Hank ...... WF is worth it.
 
I think we all know what I need to do, could you please keep reminding me though! :D
 
Shorten control arms

Build Steering and Hydro assist

Rear shocks and build mounts

Rocker replacement

Build bumpers

Normal fluids and such

Put air in the tires.

Mount bigger fire extingusher.

F350 is getting more done to it before KOH (Jan 31 to Feb 11) and that should be it.

Whatever the truck and trailer need after KOH.

I gots to swap the rear axle in the racecar jeep. The d35 is hating life and the pinion is weeping and it's whining under accel.

other than that, put fuel in it.
 
since i busted my jeep, all i have to do is hop in Timmy's jeep

unless he punks out, then i will have to con one of you bums into giving me a passenger seat:D
 
I could drive it as is right now ;)

but I might weld in front and rear stiffeners by then
 
Oh lets see how long the list is this year.

Jeep:
fix rear driveshaft
Fab and install rear traction bar
Find some 6.5" leafs
Install t/c skid
Rear disc brakes or new shoes
Grease and fluids

Van:
Replace all rear brake parts
New front pads
New shocks
Maybe some new leaf springs
New steering gearbox
New tierod ends
Get an alignment
Oil change

I am sure I am leaving some shit out but I think that is a good start. :D lol

well unless we break her before WF...Cliffs on New Years Day can be dangerous......Hey I can brag...been working on this thing every week since WF 2012....Do I have parts to add yes but she is ready to go.....
