99 XJ phantom locks

My cousin bought a 99 XJ 4 door that has phantom locks. The locks will just randomly lock and unlock while driving without anyone hitting the switch. It seems to happen whenever the Jeep hits a hard enough bump or dip in the road. I am guessing that there is a short somewhere causing this but I have no idea where to start. Any suggestions on what to look at first?

try unplugging the RKE module that is in the dome light and go from there.

Had the same issue. Sourced to a connector behind the passenger kick panel. Couple of loose tangs inside. Replaced and resoldered a new terminal set. No issues since. Just moving the harness helped to pin point the issue quickly.
