I have a 90 laredo 146k. With in the past month it getting hard to start. Will have to crank it for more that 20-30 seconds. When it fires it smell like gas from the tail pipe so its getting fuel. When it fires it will idle kind of rough have sometimes it will die and have to restart. Once it warms up its ok. The tps and crank sensor our less then a year old. was wondering if anyone has any ideas before i start throwing money at sensors.

With the engine running check the vacuum hose on the fuel pressure regulator for gas odor or liquid. If there is gas, the regulator is bad.

Plugs, wires, cap and rotor????

Check the vacuum line from the MAP sensor on the firewall to the throttle body for leaks. Test the coolant and Manifold air temp sensors versus OEM specs from the FSM, for proper resistance at the current coolant or air temp in the manifold.

Have you tested the CPS cranking voltage on AC scale to verify at least 0.50 volts while cranking?
