, i have a 2000 jeep cherokee I6.
Im getting a check engine light with the code p1296 which is voltage to the map sensor. I was driving the other day, and the engine died on me. I tried to fire it up again and it fires, but instantly dies. I replaced the fuel pump assembly, crank sensor and the map sensor. We checked all the continuity to the MAP sensor and am thinking it may be a problem with the ECM. I am looking into changing out the ECM but am curious if anyone else has ever experienced this problem or knows anything about it?
