New front driveshaft Slip-end yoke?

I need about 1" longer on my front XJ CV shaft.
Instead of chopping it up & retubing it... You can buy just a new 1310 slip end yoke
that are a little longer/shorter than stock.

Where are u guys buying yours from?

I haven't separated my shaft yet, does anyone know the spline count
and shaft diameter on the slip shaft?

somehow this seems like a really bad idea to me... when you can pickup a ZJ shaft thats 1 inch longer for the junkyard for 20 bucks
