Will an SYE afffect my shock life?

I have been doing a lot of seaching and reading on installing an SYE on my cherokee. One question that I still have is: will shimming my axle to properly align the drive shaft cause stress on the shock mounts and premature wear? thanks

First of all.. aside from having the correct snapring pliers, SYE is very easy and shimming an axle is fine. You can't always believe what you read on the web.

The bushings will take some misalignment. You be ok

if your concernd loosen your lower shocks bolts them shim the axle then tighten the lower shock bolts.

Youll be fine. Like white98xj said, the bushings can handle a few degrees of misallignment

Thanks for the info. Just getting ready to install one and gathering as much info as possible. seems like one modification just leads to other trouble and more modification...
