Wiring Harness

Hello gang,

I have been working on and driving a 93 RHD with a 5.5 iron rock lift on it for about 4 months now, Ive replaced quite a bit but a few problems with the electrical system are starting to show, first off my back hatch is causing a short in the auto lock line and blowing the fuse, sometimes when I turn my interior lights on or off the dash panel will flicker in random bouts, and generally all power seems weak throughout the vehicle, I plan on buying a mean green alternator and have been trying to find a wiring harness(es) to replace all wiring throughout the entire vehicle(I plan on having this vehicle for a very long time) but am having trouble locating said item. Does anyone know of these, and maybe tips or choosing one brand over another?

Thanks Dudes!

good luck with the search.'
if you found a reliable, cost effective source for aftermarket wire harnesses please post your findings
I gave up on finding a vendor of such item, and started gathering connectors & terminals to start the build my own engine wire harness ('99 XJ). Note: I'm still gathering connectors & terminals in order to reproduce a OEM harness.

Start by getting a Service Manual for your specific year/model & use the wiring drawings as guide....do your homework........

the below links have been a good source of information/items for me.

I bought one from ebay. It wasn't pretty but the connectors were in good shape. Using that harness, I was able to build a new harness for my '85 XJ. The connectors can and probably will be brittle, but they are fairly easy to find and buy because the part numbers are on the connector body......usually. :). Good luck.
