Hot wire , Really hot

Went off to work at 6am. I smelled burning wire insulation and wondered who the poor jerk was. Found out later that i was the poor jerk. Left a ground off the battery and it touched the alt wire . The Jeep did not stop or blow the fuse unless it fused itself when it melted.




There is a nut on it , i removed it to pull the wires out.





It's the power wire for the alt, 4gu and fused.

Well i least i found the missing ground wire for my headlight light harness.

That looks an aweful lot like a 4 gauge amp power wire and fuse block.

It is or was. But is was thicker than the original wire it replaced and it was fused.
