Anyone know where to get hard copies of the TSBs for an XJ without paying a subscription? If its for free its for me!

This is a Gov site:
http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/tsbs/index.cfm

You can look up TSBs, but they only give you a summary for free.
