Has anyone made an AW4 slip?

More specifically, I'm looking for a dyno chart that shows an AW4 beginning to slip due to excessive torque from the engine.

I do not care about transmissions that slip because they were not properly maintained, lol.

Any useful help would be appreciated! Thank you.

Nah, not why. I have the built turbo variant (A340e) that has been modified to bolt up to the transfer case.

I wanna know how much torque a stock AW4 can take before the line pressures need to be raised.

Have you looked at the aw4 thread. Might be some info in there for you. As for me I have no idea....

I've seen a rating of 450 lbs/ft of torque, but I have yet to see that anywhere other than as a statement in a forum post with no source citations to back it up.

I hit like 5k once and the line popped off. Probably more my fault then the tranny, though. :gee:
