A couple questions

#1- oil pressure. Under load I average 40-45psi, under idle I average 25-35psi. Needle dances only like this under idle and load, never moves a tad when I'm doing either. Or if I'm moving and let off, still stays the same 40-45psi, only when stopped and idling will it lower. whilst idling an I rev it up to 1500rpm or so, it pops back up to 40 or so. My brother had the same problem with his xj. He said its a common occurance. I have plenty of oil and it gets up to the valve cover just fine. My question is, do any of you have the same problem?

#2- serpentine belt; what size belt would I need to do a power steering delete?

#1. Your numbers are within spec so I wouldn't worry. If your needle fluctuates, you might consider installing a new oil pressure sending unit. Buy it directly from Jeep for the best reliability/accuracy/mating with your factory gauge.

Oil pressure spec for the 4.0:

*Not less than 13 psi at HOT idle
*Between 37-75 psi OVER 1600 rpms
