front axle seal ?

I am needing to replace my front axle seals but am unsure what parts to order,

if I understand correctly there is only 1 seal on each side and they are the same?

Yes they are the same. Axle shafts and carrier need to come out to repalce them. See here http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=926548

How do you know when these need to be replaced?

I had a non disco D30 built and swapped in after stripping my R&P flat towing a couple years ago. I ran 2wd (no front shaft) for about a year, then last summer changed out the gear oil and put the front shaft back on for a Tahoe trip. I noticed some splatter on the inside driver wheel when we got there (approx. 500 miles). Level checked ok, wheeled it, drove home and level still checked ok and still does.

I don't want to damage my gears and locker, but also don't want to pull my front axle apart if i am just loosing a bit of gear oil.

my front axle is dripping gear oil from the drivers side axle tube, that is how I know it needs to be repaired

I guess what I was wondering is. How urgent is the repair needed, if your seeing some splatter, but levels are holding?
