Possible tire sidewall damage?

This past weekend I picked up a drywall screw in one of my tires and it went flat. Instead of having the tire patched, I figured I would just plug it at home. After doing so tonight, I went to roll it to a different spot in the garage. It was then that I heard something rolling around inside the tire. Rather than leaving it alone or just waiting to have a tire shop remove whatever it is, I tried to unseat the tire from the bead myself. I took a sledgehammer and gave the sidewall a few good whacks. When it didn't budge at all, I figured it was best to let someone with the proper tools take care of it.

Anyway, do you guys think there is any possibility that I could have damaged the sidewall? The tire is a cheap Goodyear Wrangler Radial.

Thanks.

Frickin ingenious! Does this vacuum trick really work?
