gas tank questions

at my work i was lookinthe new brand new replament gas tanks for my 88 xj and they have 2 available. a 13 gallon tank, and a 20 gallon tank and both are priced closely. i was wondering if the 20 gallon tank was an available option on xj's and if it would be a direct bolt on for me

Yes it is a direct bolt in. Exactly the same tank but the spouts inside are different. I have changed out both my smaller tanks on both my 89's to the 20 gallon tanks. I have compared the insides and as I said the above is the ONLY difference. Both are exactly the same dimension wise. And both tanks use the same fuel pump as well.

awesome. i asume i use the same filler hose or i have to change the rubber hose?

Nope same filler neck on both as well.
