How to crank '89 Cherokee from under the hood?

Hey all,

I'm troubleshooting an ignition issue and was wondering how I could crank the engine from under the hood. I have an '89 RENIX XJ with the old-style starter relay next to the battery.

Here is a drawing showing the pins:



My first intuition is to turn the key on ON and short "Ignition Terminal" to "Starter Solenoid" with a jumper, but I just wanted to check.

Jumper, Battery terminal to ignition terminal to start it. The starter solenoid "wire" to battery, just to crank it over.
