my otk steering set up is in the mail. i know im gona have to move the axle side track bar mount up and move the sway bar mounts too. does anyone have pics of how they made their mounts for both of those? also is there anything else im gona run into? its the chevy 1 ton y link set up. thanks.

ya i know what otk steering looks like. im looking for more of home fabed brackets for the track bar and sway bar links. thanks anywase though you better then me at this internet thing.

Best bet is JKS for OTA TB mount and extended swaybar links.

Probably not going to find many "home-fabbed" axle side track bar brackets... Companies have already put the time, energy, & material into providing obtainable solutions for those of us without the capabilities/machinery to get it done... If you have to ask for pics of how people have made their "home-made" track bar mounts, I'm assuming you don't have the capability, no offense, I mean no disrespect... I dont have the machinery, & in essence the capability, to make my own bracket... Cant bend the "thick" metal to match the forward offset needed, AND I dont have a welder (yet), but I can clearly see where I'd need the track bar to mount on the axle, IF I went OTK on the XJ D30 knuckle

You were able to obtain the knowledge that you're going to have to change the angle of the track bar, to match your OTK tie rod set up... I'm sure you're good enough with this "internet thing" to find out Over The Axle track bar brackets are available... JKS has been mentioned, & they're a go to, as they not only have the TB bracket & sway bar axle mounts, but also the rest of the "kit" needed with ever popular "WJ knuckle swap"... hub spacers, drag link, tie rod, & offset tie rod ends... Here are some others...

TnT Customs has 2 for the D30..

Poly-Performance also has 2...

& just found out myself getting these links, Rusty's now is getting in on the action!

thanks for that pic zachandandy. i was just looking at it today wondering if im gona have to move the coil springs back. is that an absolute must do?

Ballistic has a couple of brackets too. http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/Offset-Panhard-Tracbar-mount_p_1629.html

The "problem" with a lot of these brackets are that they keep the mount completely inboard of the spring, which leaves you with a shorter trackbar and potential bumpsteer if it is not as long as the draglink. The JKS one seems to keep it as far the the passenger side of the ones I have seen.

Teraflex makes weld on sway bar mounts that you weld to the inner C : http://www.teraflex.biz/dana-30-swaybar-mount-lh.html

I made my own sway bar mounts that mount to the inner C, but they are not as pretty as the Terflex ones. So far they have held up fine.

I think this is what hes looking for. The coil buckets are stock but trimmed back with everything welded flush in the direction their trimmed. Also the sway bar links bolt on side of the bar and not under so the links are straight.

i made my axle mount and trackbar. trimmed coil buckets back a bit and cut and remounted the swaybar mounts in a spot that would work.

I have a straight 1.5" OD tie rod OTK from knuckle to knuckle and it hits the coil buckets way before full lock. Limits my steering a lot. I've trimmed them all the way back to the spring and now the steering hits the spring. Since the JKS track bar mount is welded to the front of the coil bucket, I can't trim that one back anymore and it interferes with the tie rod as well.

Not sure why more people don't have this problem. Only solution I can see is to completely relocate the springs back about an inch, which is major work and probably means I have to replace the coil buckets entirely. Couldn't use the JKS track bar mount anymore, would have to get one of the ones posted above.

Ruff stuff offset tie rod ends, or bends at both ends of your tie rod? Dana 30 knuckles are just plain short. I couldn't believe how much extra room I gained around my steering with the Dana 44.

I am using Teraflex offset TRE's with my Wj knuckles (also with a 1.5" OD straight Tie rod) to avoid contact. Worked out well.

Well yeah, if I had known the clearance would be this bad, I would have planned on that from the beginning. Wasn't sure how those knuckles would work with the RCV's I had, but I guess they are fine.
