Capping off a/c

So I pulled my condenser, dryer and lines the other weekend with the intention of going to an oba setup. Well life is full of surprises and the a/c to oba conversion is on hold for a while. The compressor and expansion valve ports are open and the Jeep will need to be moving int he next few weeks. Can I/ should I/ do I need to cap off those ports? Assuming I can find what I need at the local hardwar store?

I wouldnt bother, but if your feeling paranoid, im sure you could fab up something to block them off. IIRC, the a/c compressors ive seen, 93-98, you could do this very easily,. renix era, not as easily.

just to keep dust out till you get around to it, duct tape should work just fine. Are a piece of plastic and a rubber band.
