Home made quarter guards/tail light boxes, light hole size questions?

I have made my own quarter guards that extend to the tail-light boxes and i will eventually finish out boxing the housings. Until then I want to mount the quarter guards over the stock tail lights but i need to cut holes for the side marker lights to shine through(per VA insp regs).

I plan on going with LED "Truk-Lite" brand "Side/Tail/Back-up lights. What size holes do I need to punch out for the side markers?

I have looked through Truk-Lite's catalog but I'm not seeing the actual hole sizes. They list 2.5" lights etc but those lights have grommets so what is the actual diameter of the hole's?

I might have found the answer by accident while shopping for lights. It looks like i need 4.5" holes for the Truk-Lite Super 44's
