Just got my 90 XJ brake project buttoned up. Took out the Bendix ABS crap and used 89 XL parts for the job. Truck now starts - runs for three seconds then shuts off. All ABS wiring tucked - wrapped - secured. Control unit under left rear seat is now out of the car. No change, start - run - stop.
What might be wrong?
Golf is not an option untill the car runs!

Can God make a bigger rock than He can roll?

Did you disturb the wires on your ballast resistor? White ceramic thingy located on the driver side inner fender, off-white in color , with a wire at each end kinda near the air box.

Thanks Cruize;
Just read your suggestion. Spot on guy. I actually found it late yesterday afternoon then not so quietly kicked my behind all around the yard for not remembering that I had found that problem years ago when working in a Volvo shop. So now it's just down to do the final bleeding and rears adjustments.
Golf is now looming larger and larger!
