Traded my jeep in janurary for a truck which was a bad decision overall, long story. I contacted the guy and he said the rear end blew up along with the transfer case and he got rid of it. Wondering if anyone seen it? The guy lives in Cal city so maybe some where out there. Its a 88 XJ painted desert tan with hanneman front fenders on 33 goodyear mtr with black crager soft 8's.

I want to know why it was a bad decision. My wife would like me to get rid of my XJ and pick up a SUV or a 4-door truck that can tow a decent sized trailer, so it's been on my mind.

Hope you find yours.

Thread Hijack! That I started.

Yea, sometimes she says that, but I don't wheel it too much and she doesn't enjoy it. Now there's a 2nd kid (3 month old baby girl) so something to haul toys could be useful. Although I would really miss the Jeep.

if you have a car that you like and it's paid for why sell it? It's not costing you anything even if you don't drive it that much. If I was making a payment on a car that I could do without then yeah get rid of it. And really what are you going to get out of your 10 to 20 year old xj anyway? 3500 maybe 5500 if it's done up. If you want another car to haul with save up or get a used one with low payments that don't dent the wallet too much. You will end up like the OP crying cause he screwed himself over.

Sorry for the delayed response, not on here so much since I dont have a jeep anymore.

Heres a pic if someone sees it.

I cry every day thank you very much. :bawl:

yeah I thought of that, but I got too much stuff going on in my life right now to start the whole build process all over (and the money involved of course)..I would like to get something that's 4x4 which looks and functions decent though.

Anybody want to trade their jeep for a 2004 pontiac vibe GT? Same as toyota matrix XRS. Gets good mileage, toyota reliability, and hauls but. Has the 2ZZGE motor with 6 spd manual.

I posted a ad in the socal for sale section, 218k miles below is a pic.

That's the results from me rolling the first Jeep down a big hill, the passengers said they stopped counting after 12 barrel rolls...good times.

Heres some pics for entertainment. Warning, some pics not suitable for children.
