My check engine light came on Friday morning for the first time ever. I guess I should be thankful, as it now has 174K on the odometer. LOL!
Anyway, Autozone pulled the code, which was PO141, indicating the downstream O2 sensor. All of my underhood fuses are good, and a quick trace of the wires from the O2 sensor shows no damaged wires. I replaced the sensor, and unhooked the negative battery cable for about 30 seconds to clear the code.
The check engine light is still on. Did the sensor not correct the problem, or do I still need to clear the old code somehow?
