AW4 question?

i got a P740 code the other day then it went away. i have not noticed any problems in function or performance. i did change fluid about 6000 miles ago. i searched and a possible cauce was low fluid. i checked and the level was fine but fluid was no longer red. any thoughts?

Can you feel the torque converter lock up into overdrive at approx. 42 mph?

To test the overdrive solenoid.
Driving down the road in OD above 50 MPH with your foot on the gas apply the brakes lightly. The tach should rise about 200-300 RPM as the solenoid unlocks the converter.If there is no raise in RPMs the converter was not locked up.The brake switch could be bad or the solenoid it self. To change the solenois it takes less than 2 hours. They are under the trans oil pan. The kit costs around 200 bucks for all 3 in the pan.
