I am trying to decide what way to go about buying gaskets to put my motor back together with.
I've got a 1990 block and rotating assembly, 1994 7120 head, and it's all going in a 2000 Cherokee. I'm using the oil pan, timing cover, oil filter adapter, sensors and manifolds from the 2000.
A gasket set from Napa is $210, and one from ebay is $75.
Also, what gaskets would differ from year to year? I know the oil filter adapter gaskets have probably changed. What about head gasket and oil pan gasket? I think I'll use the 94 intake/exhaust gasket since I'm using the 7120 head. Any suggestions would be helpful, I was really hoping to get the gaskets locally and put it together this weekend, but I wasn't planning on spending over $200.
