Red/clear Tailights or Taillamps

I am or have been looking for a set of the Red Wagoneer tailights and I know they are hard to find. I keep my eye out for them at the local JY's. Well here is what I found.

I was thinking I can get a can of plastic paint and spray the clear part down and make them all red. What you guys think?

Tons of people do this. Go to your local store and pick up a can of red VHT Night Shades. I personally used some translucent red vinyl I picked up off eBay. Google FitchVA

I actually like those as is, and I don't really go for too many "tuner" type taillights. Personally I would slap some SilverStar amber bulbs in there to get rid of the "fried egg" look and run 'em.

Of course, you'll cry the first time you back into a tree...
