Non-retractable FM antenna?

Good afternoon,

My XJ project progresses. It looks like one of the PO's removed the entire motorized antenna assembly. I'd like to replace it with a regular non-retractable FM antenna. Any suggestions as far as the best way to go about this? I couldn't find much via Google... just direct (pricey) OEM replacements.

didnt realize they came with one, i thought they were all the non retract type. can you just get a stock non retractable one from the junkyard? i doube they made special fenders for the retractable ones, so it would probably fit right in.

I bought one on e-bay several years ago. It was cheap and has been a very good antenna.

Just grab one from the jy. But beware that the antenna connector may be different. The fenders are the same but grab all of the little plastic pieces for it. I did this about a year ago when my power one quit. I miss the power antenna. Pretty easy
