Strange coolant leak near oil pan gasket

Hi all,

I just bought a 93 XJ 4.0 with the AW4 @ 185k miles. I bought the jeep from an ebay auction with the understanding that it needed a new radiator. The jeep was a donated vehicle to a breast cancer charity and the lot attendant doesn't do much more than a look over. The jeep runs fine, except it gets close to overheating in stop and go traffic, which I could see is caused by the radiator. With that being said, I noticed a small coolant leak that would show right under the front axle. Here are the pics from what I think is the leaking area. Any advice?








Parts already purchased and ready for install next weekend:

csf 3 core all metal radiator
B&m transmission super cooler
bosch water pump
mr. gasket 195* thermostat
mr. gasket radiator cap
bosch plugs & wires
bosch premium oil filter
transmission filter (checked out the fluid today, looked somewhat new)
fan clutch
accel rotor
accel distributor cap
mann fuel filter
k&n air filter
new rotors and ceramic pads

Freeze/core plug. it's 95 cent piece but requires the removal of intake and exhaust.

He needs to replace all of them.LOOK at the rust on them.

If its the freeze plug on the back of the block you will have to pull the engine to replace.

might as well if i have to take the manifolds off.

i've never pulled an engine. do i need to get a hoist or should i not mess with it and take it to a shop? i'm fairly mechanically inclined but intimidated.
