np231 t-case problem

i have a 98 xj 2" lift nothing crazy and after the last time i went out on some trails i have a nasty vibration over 50mph, got underneath and the u-joints on the rear drive shaft looks bad so did both of them thinkin that may be the issue, while in the process of doing them realized that the rear output shaft has play in it... checked with my buddy who also has a 98 and his does not move at all! so i am assuming i messed something up (bearing/shaft)... what would be the best route for taking care of this? and has anyone else had this problem... and should i not drive it until its taken care of?

Best bet would be a HD SYE kit and driveshaft.It will come with everything to replace your worn parts.

thats what i was considering, i did find a few used on craigslist for 150 bucks but may as way beef if up...
