This seems like a dumb question, but for some reason I cant figure it out.
My spring perches are the ones that have 3 holes for the centering pin. I dont understand how you would use anything other than the center, as the plate wouldnt be centered over the axle tube. Id like to use the front one to move my axle back but how do i go about it?

The plate doesn't need to be centered over the axle tube. Put the centering pin into the forward pinhole and tighten her down.

Ok cool so its not gonna hurt that the u bolts are gonna be at an angle then? Main reason i wanna do this is to help my driveshaft issue in the other thread I posted. Thanks!

wow really?

Don't......just don't!

You need a spring plate with matching holes. My ruffstuff perches/plates have proven valuable in this way. Not hard to drill your plates if they don't have the holes allready,
I wouldn't want slotted center pin holes.

I'm curious why this is a bad idea. It seems fairly common to me...

Notice the holes on the perch and the u bolt plate? Those are for moving the axle back.
