Power steering fluid on Tie Rod End rubber boots

My steering gear is leaking power steering fluid. I have a steering gear rebuild kit on order from Rock Auto, and it will arrive in about 5 days.

In the meantime, power steering fluid is leaking onto some new tie-rod-end rubber boots. Will it eat the rubber? Or is that nothing to worry about?

should be ok... i would keep cleaning them off with degreaser every few days though until it is repaired.

happened all the time on my old 96, that thing leaked like a sieve. It went to the scrapper with the factory grease boots still in OK shape. Don't sweat it.

It would eat brake parts, but not steering. The tie rods use petroleum based grease, so the boots are oil resistant synthetic rubber.
