cooling problem

well my stock 95 4.0 is giving me a run around. i can drive in town and play all day wit no problem staying under 220, but wen i get on the hwy it starts climbing to the red around 250ish. i aint got thermostat in it and ive had the same setup on my other for 2yrs wit no problem. it has a new radiator and the water pump seems fine. got ne ideas on wat it cud be wud love the input.

What's the status of your bottom hose. New? Is there a spring inside the hose?

not new but no spring and no dry rot inside or out all hoses are good

Sounds like your impeller may be going away on the water pump.
